Prices As of July 1st 2024
NOTE: If you are coming here from Etsy, I will absolutely honor the prices listed here/below if you contact me through my website here, or Facebook. I have to mark my Etsy prices up much higher because of astronomical fees and being forced to roll in the shipping. Please just contact me via email or Facebook.
I get a lot of questions about my t-shirt quilts, so I thought I would try to make a series of blog posts that would be informative!
I offer two styles of t-shirt quilts, one with sashes between the t-shirts, like this:
I also offer T-shirt quilts with no sashes, like this:
For quilts WITH sashes, I charge by the shirt, really. I have a specific amount of shirts that will fit within each size. I offer the following sizes:
-
LLap quilts:
4 shirts(approx. 48x48): $150
6 shirts (approx. 55x72): $195
9 shirts (approx. 72x72): $225
Twin size (66x96, 12 shirts) $275
Regular (81x96, 12 shirts) $ 300
Regular (90x90 16 shirts) $325
Queen (90x102, 20 shirts $375
King (108x108, 25 shirts) $425
King ( 30 shirts) $475
King (36 shirts) $545
These quilts have a set amount of shirts within them, like I stated previously, but the quilts WITHOUT sashes are a bit more flexible. For example, I still charge $275for a twin size quilt, but I can usually fit 16-20 shirts in a twin size. The maximum amount of shirts is 36-40, depending on the shirts. I never cut something I cannot use. Pricing for T-Shirt Quilts WITHOUT sashes:
-
No sashes:
Lap (approximately 60x72): $225
Twin(approximately 66x96): $275
Full (approximately 81x96,: $325
Queen(approximately 90x102): $375
King: $425-500 - I will count your shirts, if there are over 35, price goes up to $475, over 45, price is $500 (if I can even get them in one quilt lol).
For T-shirt quilts, you don’t have to use just t-shirts! T-shirts, sweatshirts, Dry-fit shirts, jeans, pajama pants, robes, button up shirts, dress shirts, etc can all be used in this size. I cut all squares 15x15, or occasionally 12x12, so USUALLY tank tops are out. You’re welcome to send one if it has special sentimental value, but I do need an extra shirt as well.
IF YOU WANT MULTIPLE QUILTS: I can usually only get 2 squares (if that) out of any piece of clothing for a t-shirt quilt. If you are having a memorial quilt made, and have limited clothing, you may want to consider my memory quilts. These quilts work great with polo shirts, button up shirts, pants, jackets, robes, stretchy material, etc. They do not work well with graphic t-shirts with large designs, unless you’re ok with splitting that design up. I can usually get 4-6 squares out of each piece of clothing (unless they’re very small) with the memory quilts. The overall quilt is smaller, however, but if you need multiple quilts with a limited amount of clothes, this is the way to go.
I do request you send at least 1-2 extra shirts/pieces of clothing. That way if something doesn’t work, I have an extra. You can mark your extras (in a separate plastic bag, etc) or mark your must haves, or both!
Once I have cut your shirts, we will discuss what fabric you would like for the quilt. For a t-shirt quilt with sashes, you will need to decide on 3 types of fabric. One to go between the shirts (sashes), one to go in the corners of those sashes (corner square) and one to go all the way around the quilt (border). You can request specific colors, and I will do my best to find them! You can be as hands on or as hands off as you like in this process. I will happily text/email/message you photos of different fabric choices until you're happy!
Once you’ve chosen your fabric, then the rest is up to me! I cut the fabric, piece your quilt, and get it quilted. This process can take a bit due to me having to travel to quilt your quilt, but ultimately once I have cut out your quilt, most of the waiting is over!
I appreciate your business, and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have!
